The Solomon Project, a wing of North Grand Neighborhood Services, serves the neighborhood around Sts. Theresa and Bridget Catholic Church in North St. Louis. Unlike other urban development plans, the Solomon Project hopes to not only build houses, but also to build community. They strive to empower the residents to take charge of their neighborhood by working toward homeownership and community engagement.

I created this video for my Multiplatform Journalism class. It is my first attempt at an online video. One of the biggest challenges with this project was that the recording equipment was very minimal. If I were to do this project again, I would pay closer attention to lighting. I do, however, like the integration of stills and video to tell the story.
